The title ‘HANAKABURA’ is our own original word, inspired by the image of a Kaburaya arrow cutting through falling cherry blossom petals. The track sees the four-piece continue to hone their sound and sharpen their edges as they put the scene on notice. 

"Second Best is about the feeling of dedicating everything you have to a person, relationship, or cause, only to discover you were always disposable," explains the band. "Written through the lens of a corrupt monarch and forgotten followers, the song explores betrayal, exploitation and the rage that follows when loyalty is repaid with abandonment.”

"Crawl" seethes and surges in signature IN THIS MOMENT style. Anchored by a gut-punching riff and seismic vocals courtesy of inimitable frontwoman MARIA BRINK, the song sets its hooks in, holds tight, and never lets go. It's worthy of obsessing over—like all of the group's best material over the years.

Speaking about the song, the band commented: "Celebrity worship is more prevalent than ever. They come and go as they do, being forced into our faces until then the next batch comes through. People’s obsessive compulsion to follow other people’s lives that they’ll never once meet. It’s almost as sad as it is maddening."

Lorna Shore are giving fans a look inside their 2026 global tour with the release of the new single and video for “War Machine,” filmed across the band’s recent European headlining jaunt with Whitechapel, Shadow Of Intent and Humanity’s Last Breath. The video is directed by Nicholas Chance with additional camera work from Daniel Hill and drone footage from Tom and Milford of Bad Wolf Horizon.
