“Our song ‘A Tiger Among Dragons’ has a powerful, raw energy to it, but with a more melodic edge,” says frontman Joakim Brodén. “I like to think that it tells Lü Bu’s story with intensity and emotion—it’s epic, but there’s also a sense of drama and depth that really brings the legend to life!”

“The setting is a fantastical one. At its core, it's a song about trying to find the music,” explains frontman Scott Anderson. “The ultimate search is you're finally at the end of it. When I step back it's talking about our own journey, but it's dressed up in a different way. It's the idea of just trying to find one more cool idea, and hoping it's not the last one.”

To commemorate the induction of the legendary SOUNDGARDEN into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on 8 November 2025 , alternative rock collective KING ULTRAMEGA have unleashed a powerful new rendition of ‘The Day I Tried To Live’, featuring SOUNDGARDEN's Kim Thayil, with Alissa White-Gluz of ARCH ENEMY, Mark Menghi of METAL ALLEGIANCE, and Charlie Benante of ANTHRAX.
