LA POST-PUNK TRIO 'DECEITS' ANNOUNCE DEBUT AUSTRALIAN SHOWS

Emerging from Los Angeles’s thriving darkwave and post-punk underground, DECEITS are set to make their long-awaited Australian debut this December with two exclusive headline performances — Friday December 4 in Sydney and Saturday December 5 in Melbourne.

Blending melancholic atmosphere with soaring hooks and explosive live energy, DECEITS have rapidly become one of the most talked-about modern acts in contemporary post-punk. The trio’s emotionally charged sound has earned them a devoted international cult following, standing apart from the genre’s colder conventions with a style that is equal parts passionate, romantic, and fierce.

Formed in late 2021, the band draws inspiration from legendary acts including The Cure, Human Tetris, Motorama, The Chameleons, For Against, New Order and Bauhaus, while forging a sound unmistakably their own. DECEITS consists of Kevin “Puppy” Moreno (vocals, bass guitar, keyboards), Skylar Francise (guitars) and Francisco Saenz (percussions).

Following a string of acclaimed singles, DECEITS released their debut album “If There’s No Heaven…” independently in November 2023. Featuring standout tracks such as “Drowning In An Empty Sea” and “Mi Amor, Mi Vampira”, the record propelled the band onto major stages across the United States, including a headline performance at Los Angeles’s iconic El Rey Theatre.

The band has also shared stages with revered names including The Chameleons and Diva Destruction, while earning a coveted appearance at 2025’s Cruel World Festival.
