AUGUST BURNS RED ADDS THE GLOOM IN THE CORNER & FALLWEATHER TO TOUR
As Australia and New Zealand prepare to surrender to the might of AUGUST BURNS RED this September and October, the GRAMMY Award-nominated stalwarts have announced today that while Sydney's BLOOM are unfortunately no longer able to perform later this year, Melbourne cinemacore outfit THE GLOOM IN THE CORNER and Melbourne post-hardcore quartet FALLWEATHER will be joining proceedings, alongside I PROMISED THE WORLD (USA) on Australian dates only.
Deranged, enraged and crashing through your pearly gates, Melbourne's THE GLOOM IN THE CORNER weave chaos and cinematic theatricality into their enigmatic and immersive creations. Spending years sharpening their sound and infamous live performanes across the globe, including Australia, Europe and North America, THE GLOOM IN THE CORNER most recently unleashed their incredible new album Royal Discordance earlier this year, praised by Kerrang! as a "full-scale, full-length epic of blockbuster proportions" and also sonically expanding the band's sonic palette into unimaginable new heights. Whether touring with the likes of AngelMaker, Wage War, Make Them Suffer and Aviana, or snapping necks and casting lore-soaked spells as a headliners, there is never a dull moment when THE GLOOM IN THE CORNER take the stage, and this September and October they will arrive armed with new music, stunning sonic malice and more.
Hailing from Melbourne, post hardcore act FALLWEATHER weave the nostalgic sound of the early 2000s post hardcore scene with hard-hitting modern metal flair. Injecting nods to the likes of Deftones, Counterparts, Void Of Vision, Northlane and Thornhill into their own unique creative brand, FALLWEATHER most recently released a new single Mourn; a hard-hitting cut from the band's forthcoming debut album Because You Were Here which will release on August 19. Previously sharing stages with the likes of LANDMVRKS, Senses Fail and amongst many others, FALLWEATHER also recently supported heavy icons Saosin during the band's Australian run, with Something You Said praising of the Sydney performance that "the Melbourne outfit came out swinging, blending soaring clean vocals with visceral, gut-punch screams in equal measure."
Commencing on Sunday 27 September in Perth, AUGUST BURNS RED will take their Season Of Surrender Tour through Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Newcastle, before heading across the Ditch for their first New Zealand performances in over a decade, ticking off Wellington on Wednesday 8 October and concluding in Auckland on Thursday 8 October.
This September and October, forget Spring and surrender instead to a brand new season of AUGUST BURNS RED when they make their return to Australia and New Zealand stages. Tickets will not last long!
