TIGERS JAW ANNOUNCE FIRST AUSTRALIAN TOUR IN THREE YEARS

Beloved Scranton, Pennsylvania emo-rock icons Tigers Jaw have announced an Australian headline tour this November. The tour surrounds their appearance supporting Touché Amoré for one exclusive show at Melbourne's Forum Theatre celebrating the 10th anniversary of the seminal album Stage Four. Tickets for Tigers Jaw's Australian headliner go on sale Thursday 18 June at 11AM local time via Destroy All Lines.

A band whose influence across emo, indie and post-hardcore has only deepened with time, Tigers Jaw have long been considered an important and wildly revered band. They quickly gained attention for their ability to effectively and cooly capture teenage emotions, with equal parts upbeat angst and mellow moodiness.

Now, two decades later, the band continue their legacy with their seventh full length album, Lost on You, released in March via Hopeless Records. Reuniting with producer and engineer Will Yip (Turnstile, Movements) at his famed Studio 4 in Pennsylvania, Lost on You captures what we’ve always loved about Tigers Jaw - a powerful and pounding rhythm section, great melodic leads that shift from instrument to instrument, and, as always, the interchanging and overlapping vocals that have become their trademark.

Three years on from their last Australian visit, Tigers Jaw will return to Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, performing songs that have left an indelible mark on alternative music alongside material from their acclaimed new album. The run includes two Melbourne appearances, including a special performance at the Forum on Friday 13 November supporting Touché Amoré's exclusive Australian show celebrating a decade of Stage Four.

As both pioneers and torchbearers, the scene’s present moment owes a lot to Tigers Jaw; their contributions have helped pave the way for this entire world, and still the group continues on. Tigers Jaw was the band that wrote those songs before and they still are the band writing these songs now, remaining one of the most respected names in their genre.
