Following the release of their sixth studio album CONFLICT DLC last year, and the first remix installment R-TYPE I, HEALTH show no signs of slowing down. The band now return with R-TYPE II, the second entry in a series of remix EPs that both complement and expand the sonic universe first established on CONFLICT DLC.
R-TYPE II reimagines a further six tracks from CONFLICT DLC through a series of remixes created with close collaborators and friends of the band. The EP features contributions from AMORTAL, HORSKH, BRVMES, Brothel, GIIRLS and goneMUNE, alongside additional appearances from Pixel Grip, DeathbyRomy and PERTURBATOR.
The original album, CONFLICT DLC, delivers 12 full-octane industrial metal tracks, with HEALTH continuing to delve into deep existential themes while blurring genre boundaries. A collection of melancholic, high-energy anthems for uncertain times, the record finds connection within disconnection and a strange sense of comfort in the darkness.
Since the band’s earliest days, they have continually expanded their musical landscape through remixes and reinterpretations of their work, and R-TYPE II is no exception. Sitting alongside the band’s previous remix EP which featured artists including EKKSTACY, Mothica, Street Sex and HVDES, these releases continue to build on the original material, carving out an entirely new dimension within the CONFLICT DLC world.
Having toured across the US, Mexico and South America last year with Pierce The Veil, HEALTH are ready to take their new show on their own co-headline tour next month across North America with Carpenter Brut before heading to Europe for festivals this summer and then Australia in September to tour with Perturbator and King Yosef.
The band will be unleashing their apocalyptic energy on stages throughout the continent, transforming each show into a visceral, full-body experience. Known for channeling chaos into catharsis, their performances fuse crushing riffs, sweeping electronics, and an intensity so consuming it feels more like a ritual than a concert. Tickets have sold fast for this tour but a handful are still available to buy in select cities.
