San Francisco punks Spiritual Cramp announce their sophomore album RUDE, out October 24, and drop new single Young Offenders. Described as “DEVO-addled, extremely fun and underpinned with a fist-pumping punk chorus,” the track lands with a playful video and the news of a 24-date North American tour.

Deaf Havana gear up for the release of their seventh album We’re Never Getting Out on October 3. Speaking on new single Carousel, James Veck-Gilodi shares, “Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity… Carousel is essentially about feeling so out of control and stuck on a downward spiral.”

Frontman Richie Cavalera comments: “‘Savage New Times’ is a throwback to 80s metal that inspired us. It’s meant to be a song about being strong, overcoming, and fighting through the dark days of our lives. It’s a killer track and a great way to end an album as our final battle cry!”

The Halo Effect pay tribute to Swedish icons Kent with a cover of ‘If You Were Here’. “Kent was a band that left a mark on many, weaving together pop rock and synth in a way that deeply moved me… we aimed to create our own version without straying too far from the soul of the original.”

Australia’s WEREWOLVES are halfway through their mission of ten albums in ten years, with album six The Ugliest Of All out September 19 on BACK ON BLACK. “Why did we call it that?” asks Sam to no-one. “We’re turning into a fearsomely hideous old-man band. Grey hair, guts… it’s like if The Hills Had Amps.”

FEUERSCHWANZ on “Sam The Brave”:

The God of Malevolence serves as an internal voice to dismantle those cherished memories and reintroduces the initial anguish of loss.”

Says Ramos of the deeply personal new track, “This song is exactly what I imagine a lot of people expected of us to put out. We took all the heaviest stuff we had to create this incredibly dark, high-stress/tension song. I personally think the breakdown at the end of this is one of my favorites that we’ve ever written and I’m excited to see how people engage with this one.”

Tuomas Saukkonen comments: “‘Carnivore’ continues where “Draconian Darkness” ended. Clearly, the full-length was not enough to extinguish the flame of inspiration ignited by the darker side of humanity. Instead of seeking balance and harmony with nature and other species around us, we feed and feast on the world we live in.”

Rise Against drop Ricochet, the title track from their first album in four years. “Even our silence, even our detachment, carries weight. Every choice… they all ricochet,” shares McIlrath.

Karly Jewell drops new single Rock Ain’t Pretty from her ARIA Top 3 album There’s A Jewell In Town. “It embodies the spirit of rock music, forged through years of overcoming obstacles”.

The single “Bedroom Posters” is for anyone who holds memories to their hometown near and dear. Lead vocalist Ryan Key says “ Have you ever come back to visit your hometown and felt crushed by all the memories that led up to the day you left? Have you ever felt like settling down somewhere meant giving up your dream? If so Bedroom Posters is for you.”

Beginning with delicate, atmospheric production, “Specter” builds into a passionate, hard-hitting chorus, complete with ominous, otherworldly electronic flourishes that provide dynamic layers to the song.
