THE BEAUTIFUL MONUMENT SHARE SINGLE "CRAVEANYTHINGTHATSTAYS"
Alternative emo-rock favourites The Beautiful Monument have shared their affectionate new single "CraveAnythingThatStays" (CATS) off their long-awaited third album, Euphoric Thriller, out Friday 7 August via Greyscale Records.
A tribute to the little companions that see us through life's highs and lows, "CraveAnythingThatStays" serves as a love letter to the non-human souls who unknowingly keep us going. "An homage to the quietest of family members that help us get through our struggles and wins; the clueless ones that have more of an impact on us as human beings than they will ever realise," shares vocalist Lizi McIntosh. "We would be nothing without them, people don’t deserve them, yet we are blessed with their very existence. And who doesn’t love Cats…?"
Produced with Chris Lalic (Windwaker, Headwreck, RinRin), "CraveAnythingThatStays" sees The Beautiful Monument push further into their exploration of alt-pop, layering pulsing percussion and synth textures with glossy production under Lizi's leading vocals that cut clean through the mix. The track balances catchy hooks and immersive soundbites with the grit and abrasive authenticity that fans have come to know and love. "CraveAnythingThatStays" doubles down on the band’s evolution into a sound that feels bigger, brighter, and more confident than ever. The single follows earlier singles and title track "Euphoric Thriller", "Dancing with the Buried" and "Cry About It", all now revealed as part of the upcoming album.
Euphoric Thriller is self-described as an emotional rollercoaster and a collection of unreleased diary entries pulled from deeply personal experiences, navigating grief, identity, survival and the reality of existing in a world fuelled by ignorance. "From dealing with the grief of not only physical loss, but the emotional battle that is existing in this world as a minority and navigating our way through the uphill battle of hate and bigotry from the society that surrounds us… but make it a party." tells vocalist Lizi McIntosh. "If we don’t laugh we cry - so why not have a good time while internally wallowing in the fiery pits of hell that is the current state of the world."
Honing their craft with honest lyricism and emotive delivery, The Beautiful Monument have paved a reputation for crafting anthems for anyone who has ever felt beautifully broken. The quartet - Lizi McIntosh [vocals], Amy McIntosh [bass], Alex Manhire [guitar] and Adam Pinzone [drums] dive deep into life's messy bits - grief, mental health, love gone wrong, and all the feels.
The band just wrapped an Australian tour supporting Hellions, and previously left a lasting impression playing main support for gothic rock icons Evanescence (US) performing in arenas nationwide. They have toured alongside the likes of Escape The Fate (US), Sleeping With Sirens (US), Short Stack, RedHook and more as well as festival appearances at Good Things Festival, Download Festival and UNIFY Gathering among others.
