THE BEAUTIFUL MONUMENT ARE BACK WITH THEIR UNAPOLOGETIC NEW SINGLE"CRY ABOUT IT"

Alternative emo rock favourites The Beautiful Monument are back with their energetic and unapologetic new single "Cry About It", out now via Greyscale Records.

Serving as both a rallying cry and a middle finger to outdated ideologies, "Cry About It" takes a defiant stand against bigotry, entitlement and the tired belief that others get to dictate who you are or how you should exist. "Cry About It is the party anthem... this one is for the girlies," tells vocalist Lizi McIntosh in a recent episode of Haus of Cult.

"For the Women and Outcasts of the world, it’s about taking a stance against the bigotry and malicious intent of the people who think they have the right to hold us back or put us down. An anthem to scream to the ones who believe they are entitled to make decisions for us that they have absolutely no right to make. A mic drop to societies skewed views and perception of us as human beings and a f*ck you for thinking you can stop us."

Musically, the band continue to evolve, experimenting with layered electronics and textured production, while still maintaining the heavy backbone that fans have come to know and love. Produced by Chris Lalic (Windwaker, RinRin, Headwreck), last year’s "Dancing with the Buriedfirst signalled this refreshed direction, confronting the harsh realities of domestic abuse and the emotional aftermath faced by victims who aren’t believed.

The Beautiful Monument have spent the last twelve months writing, recording and perfecting some of their favourite tracks to date, taking the opportunity to reconnect with the love they have for the band and each other. They tease at a long-awaited larger release with these two latest tracks: "We’ve taken our time to ensure the next era of The Beautiful Monument is our best yet; not only for our fans, but for us as musicians. We’re tired of having to live up to a standard that people expect to see or hear from us. It’s time for our roots to show and to take pride in ourselves as both individuals and a unit."

Honing their craft with honest lyricism and emotive delivery, The Beautiful Monument have paved a reputation for crafting anthems for anyone who has ever felt beautifully broken. The quartet - Lizi McIntosh [vocals], Amy McIntosh [bass], Alex Manhire [guitar] and Adam Pinzone [drums] dive deep into life's messy bits - grief, mental health, love gone wrong, and all the feels - their live shows are like a cathartic group hug, but much louder.

They previously left a lasting impression playing main support for gothic rock icons Evanescence (US), performing in arenas nationwide, and have toured alongside the likes of Escape The Fate (US), Sleeping With Sirens (US), Short Stack, RedHook and more. Festival appearances include Good Things FestivalDownload Festival and UNIFY Gathering among others, and in October 2026 they’ll set sail on Destroy All Lines’ HELLBOUND CRUISE.

"Cry About It" is out now and streaming everywhere via Greyscale Records.
