ANNALYNN SHARE BRUTAL NEW SINGLE 'RESURFACE'
Thailand-based metalcore outfit Annalynn have shared their pummelling new single, "Resurface", out now via Greyscale Records.
Guttural, thrashing and downright relentless, "Resurface" showcases Annalynn at their strongest, pairing a sonic onslaught with fleeting moments of melodic reprieve. Mixed and mastered by Lance Prenc (Alpha Wolf, Polaris, Void of Vision), "Resurface" is a scathing exploration of breaking free from control, confronting inner struggles and reclaiming one's true self.
"Resurface tells the story of battling a lost self, trapped by control and the emptiness that gradually devours happiness in life," explains the band. "It depicts the journey of reclaiming freedom and rediscovering one's true self in the right way, without being forced by anyone anymore."
Lyrically, "Resurface" moves through pain, confusion and the feeling of being trapped within a labyrinth of thoughts and emotions before ultimately finding liberation. The song is the transition from being a victim of the past to emerging stronger on the other side, embracing rebirth and carrying a message of hope: no matter how deeply someone may sink, they can always rise again and rediscover who they truly are.
Operating as a four-piece, Annalynn is Nuttapop "Pob" Chuensuktananun (vocals & guitars), Supatchaya Sompong (guitars), Eakaratch Kaewsomdej (bass), and Nattabhol Larp-Ar-Parat (drums).
Since forming in Bangkok in 2003, Annalynn have torn through the Asian metalcore scene, sharing stages with While She Sleeps, Bring Me The Horizon and embarking on their first Australian tour in 2024 with Void Of Vision, Like Moths To Flames, and Varials. Their EP, 'Failure Will Find Me', released via Greyscale Records in May 2024, seeing their leading single place as one of Metal Hammer's Tracks Of The Week upon release, and continued to build momentum following a string of singles and high-profile collaborations with members of The Ghost Inside, Crystal Lake, Coldrain, For The Fallen Dreams, and Thy Art Is Murder.
