ABSURDA DEBUT WITH THRASHING NEW SINGLE "SPIRIT"

An anonymous new Australian heavy supergroup, ABSURDA, have entered the chat with their debut single, "SPIRIT". The music video premiered via Dreambound, and the track is out now and streaming everywhere via Believe International.

The mystery outfit are unveiling the first chapter of their unravelling story with "SPIRIT", delivering a colossal introduction to a project that takes sonic cues from metal-rock juggernaut's Bring Me The Horizon, mixed with the contrasting light and shade of metalcore leaders The Plot In You.

With no band photo, no names and very little information to go on, the project is deliberately keeping its cards close to its chest. What we do know is that the people behind it are no strangers to the Australian alternative and heavy music world, but for now they’d rather let the music do the talking.

Their debut single is a dark, atmospheric and haunting reflection on the aftermath of a relationship, following someone fleeing from a lingering spirit that shadows them wherever they go. Using the supernatural as a metaphor for heartbreak, the track explores the struggle of leaving the past behind, only to discover that some memories simply can't be outrun.
