THE RASMUS ANNOUNCE FIRST EVER AUSSIE TOUR + DROP NEW SINGLE
The Rasmus Announce Debut Australian Tour + Drop New Single “Love Is A Bitch”
New Album Weirdo Out September 12 via Better Noise Music
Rock stars in their homeland of Finland since their debut album Peep went Gold when they were just 16, The Rasmus have spent decades building a legacy that spans 11 albums and countless accolades. With 6x Platinum and 8x Gold certifications under their belt, they’ve become one of Finland’s most successful musical exports—selling millions of records and consistently evolving their sound while staying true to their outsider spirit.
Surprisingly, despite their global success, the band has never set foot in Australia. That’s finally about to change in early 2026, when The Rasmus bring their celebrated live show down under for the first time. And if there’s one thing fans can expect, it’s that a Rasmus concert isn’t just a rock show—it’s a celebration of individuality, a rallying cry for every misfit and weirdo who’s ever felt like they didn’t belong.

“I find it comforting that our most recent album has pretty much the same message as our first one,” says frontman Lauri Ylönen. “It’s about defending and praising those who are different from the masses. I’ve always felt like an outsider—not fitting the norm. But that’s become my strength. We, the Weirdos, unite and feed off people’s judging attitudes. Are you a Weirdo? Join us…”
Ahead of their long-awaited Australian debut, The Rasmus have just dropped a brand new single, “Love Is A Bitch”—a tongue-in-cheek, pop-meets-crunchy-rock anthem described by Ylönen as a wildcard track. “It never really fit with the rest of the songs, but it was too fun to leave out,” he explains. “Lyrically, it’s about someone who treats you like shit but is too good in bed to let go.”
The track is taken from their upcoming album Weirdo, out September 12 via Better Noise Music. With its fusion of dark atmospheres, punchy pop hooks, and arena-ready guitars, the album is a bold statement from a band that refuses to be boxed in.
