PLANET MUSIC HOMEGROWN HERO LIVE FINALS REVEALED
Just one month remains until GROOVIN THE MOO makes its much-anticipated return to the Australian live music circuit. The special one-off Lismore event, taking place on Saturday 9 May, is gearing up to welcome some incredible Australian and international favourites to regional NSW for an unforgettable celebration of music and community.
Featuring performances by the likes of Baker Boy, Denzel Curry, Dope Lemon, Maple’s Pet Dinosaur, Matt Corby, Ninajirachi and more, GROOVIN THE MOO is promising the sort of festival experience that Australian music fans have been missing; one that promotes and amplifies togetherness, while celebrating a diverse range of music from different areas of the country and beyond.
With a number of ticket packages and options available to ensure the event is as inclusive as possible, the GROOVIN THE MOO family is beyond excited to be moving forward with sharing good news to followers and punters alike, as the timer continues to count down towards this 2026 party to remember.
Today, GROOVIN THE MOO are stoked to announce the addition of the wonderful JIMI THE KWEEN to the line up. A drag superstar, accomplished musician, singer, dancer and DJ, the performer has established a formidable reputation within the mainstream Australian festival scene as a captivating performer while internationally, JIMI TK’s powerhouse presence has earned them acclaim in front of club and festival crowds alike.
GROOVIN THE MOO has unveiled more details for this year’s PLANET MUSIC HOMEGROWN HERO LIVE FINALS, giving local artists a shot at joining the Lismore lineup. Delivered in partnership with Planet Music, the competition has attracted a wave of exciting submissions. Now the finalists, Mr Rhodes, Human Dinosaur Machine, Pippin, Nazare and Sun Wilde will go head to head for the chance to secure the coveted opening slot at Groovin the Moo.
The finals are open to the public and free to attend, taking place at the Lismore Workers Club Auditorium on Friday 24 April. From 7pm, audiences can get behind their local acts, catch a night of standout performances and be there when the winner is announced to join the May lineup.

GROOVIN THE MOO is a key feature of this year’s GREAT SOUTHERN NIGHTS program, delivered with the support of the NSW Government through Destination NSW and in partnership with the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA).
