Day Two of BIGSOUND 2026 showed just how much exists beyond the nighttime festival program. While Fortitude Valley comes alive with music after dark, the daytime schedule offers another side of BIGSOUND entirely, with panels, workshops, artist conversations, networking opportunities and industry events creating space for connection, education and conversations about the future of Australian music.
As daylight disappeared, it was back to venue hopping and discovering just how much music can fit into one night. Moving between genres, venues and crowds. From one stage to the next, there was no telling what sound would be waiting behind the next door. You don't necessarily need to know what you're looking for; sometimes you just follow the noise, walk into a room and discover something worth staying for. Two days in, BIGSOUND feels as much about the artists you stumble across as the ones you arrived planning to see.
