OFFSET VISION SIGN TO NINTH LIFE + SHARE NEW EP

Tasmanian pop punk trio Offset Vision are making moves with the announcement of their signing to Ninth Life Records, alongside the release of their brand new three-track EP, You’re Not What I Need, out today.

Their debut release with the label, You’re Not What I Need, sees Offset Vision continue to carve out their sound, diving deeper into the folds of pop punk and post-hardcore, nodding to their influences like The Story So Far, Counterparts and Four Year Strong. Across the EP, the band explore what happens when you take a step back and realise the path you’re on isn’t making you happy, and that not everyone you keep close necessarily has your best interests at heart.

The EP was produced, mixed and mastered by Ionei Heckenberg of Zanari Records (Ocean Sleeper), marking the first time Offset Vision have worked with an outside producer. "We are always looking to improve as writers and performers and this was a big step in the right direction," the band explain.

Originally starting out as high school friends jamming together, Offset Vision is James Baker, Mark Fletcher and Keenan McCarthy, and their ethos is a simple one: "We're a group of close friends just trying to have as much fun as possible and write the sickest riffs possible".

Their playful mentality has become their lifeblood, attracting attention from some of the biggest names in Australian and international alternative music and securing them spots on stages with Alpha Wolf, Tiny Moving Parts, Free Throw, Northlane, Between You and Me, Yours Truly and more. They found themselves playing to the masses at UNIFY Gathering: Off The Record 2023 and Party In The Paddock 2024, both of which introduced them to huge new audiences and made them an act to keep eyes on.
