DIESECT ANNOUNCE 'HIDE FROM THE LIGHT' DELUXE EP + SHARE NEW SINGLE "FOUR WALLS"

Brisbane metal outfit DIESECT announce HIDE FROM THE LIGHT Deluxe EP, out Friday 20 February via Greyscale Records, alongside their new single "FOUR WALLS". The band will tour their new music across Europe for the first time this February and March with Crystal Lake (JPN) & Miss May I (US) and will support Spite (US) & Varials (US) across Australia in March - tickets on sale now.
Originally released in May, HIDE FROM THE LIGHT was an aggressive evolution of DIESECT’s established sound and served as the band’s third EP, as well as their first release with Greyscale Records. The project chronicled the psychological descent of an individual slowly losing faith in being able to heal, until the desire to try passes and they are wilfully consumed by the negative.
New single "FOUR WALLS" pushes that narrative, plunging headfirst into the emotional aftermath of that descent. Acting as an extension of the EP’s themes, the track immediately signals a tonal shift. Within seconds, the atmosphere closes in, amplifying the sense of isolation and internal collapse. "FOUR WALLS is the immediate step into the aftermath of suffering in the dark," the band share. "The lyrics speak for themselves, and if you’re a fan of our most punishing material, you won’t be disappointed."
Reflecting on the original release, DIESECT add: "The release of this project has been so surreal and has opened a lot of doors for us, and we can’t thank everyone who has listened or had any part in it enough. We don’t plan on stopping anytime soon and we think 2026 will be our biggest year yet."
