MACHINE HEAD UNLEASH UNATØNED
Three decades deep and still charging forward, Machine Head return with Unatøned, their eleventh studio album and one of their most direct assaults yet. Out now via Nuclear Blast Records, the Bay Area legends strip their sound down to its sharpest, most relentless core — a record forged through discipline, hunger, and pure momentum.
To mark the release, Machine Head have dropped a blistering live video for ‘Outsider’, filmed at the historic Aztec Theatre in San Antonio on their current North American tour. Directed by David Parada with Robb Flynn leading the creative charge, the clip captures Machine Head in full flight — raw, unfiltered, and unrelenting, a testament to a band that refuses to be tamed or toned down.

ØUTSIDER is an anthem that has kinship with anyone who’s had to cut toxic people loose. These last few years, I’ve had to let go of a lot of relationships, and I know I’m not alone in that. Born on the road, in hotel rooms, and across continents, Unatøned captures the raw spirit of Machine Head’s return to the global festival stage after more than a decade away. Written between July 2023 and December 2024, the album took shape across Robb Flynn’s Jam Room, Sharkbite Studios, and Drop of Sun Recording, reflecting a band constantly in motion.
Produced by Robb Flynn alongside Zack Ohren — who also handled engineering duties — Unatøned was mixed and mastered by longtime collaborators Colin Richardson and Chris Clancy at Audioworks UK. The mastering was finalized by Ted Jensen and his assistant Justin Shturtz, bringing the record’s heavyweight sound to life.
The only exception was ‘Landscape Øf Thørns’, produced by Flynn and Joel Wanasek, with Wanasek also mixing the track. For the album artwork, Machine Head once again turned to Seth Siro Anton to bring their vision to life.
Eleven albums deep, MACHINE HEAD remains as fierce, relevant, and unstoppable as ever.
